The world of coffee is unfortunately vague and inconsistent. How many cups is actually in an “8-Cup Brewer”? What is a “cup”? How many scoops should be used per cup?
All of these questions are very important, and not understanding the answers will result in poor cup quality.
After testing many coffee scoops, we have concluded that the weight variations are too great. Some scoops were 6 grams, some 8, some as much as 14!
Instead of adding to the chaos, we grabbed these great, inexpensive little 10 gram scoops. Why 10 grams? Well, the specialty coffee industry recommends that for all standard brewing methods (Espresso and Turkish methods not included), 10 grams of coffee should be used for every 6 ounces of hot water.
So we proudly give you, the 10 gram scoop. A work of human ingenuity. And it’s less than a dollar.
