As any talented Barista will tell you, espresso is one of those things that can not be reduced and replicated perfectly by science. It is an ongoing “chase” that involves all of the senses. From the Barista’s standpoint, every variable can become a factor in the resulting cup quality; grind level, tamp pressure and technique, temperature of the machine and portafilter, temperature of the water, temperature of the receiving cup, are some that we have control over. Therefore, a good Barista is always on the chase for the “perfect shot”.
Paravisini Coffee Company’s roasters are also Baristas, so we understand the obsessive “almost there” mindset. This obsession has led to the creation of the Amber Lab™ Espresso.
The Amber Lab™ Espresso is an on-going process to capture the perfect espresso from the Roaster’s point of view. Due to coffee crop quality and characteristics changing from season to season, we felt it unrealistic to attempt define our blend by a specific taste profile. Instead, the Amber Lab™ Espresso is more of a “framework” built upon certain ideals that we believe should be present in all good espresso blends. We define success not in a standard being created, but in new plateaus being reached. Join us in our journey that will never end, to find the “perfect” shot!
All of our coffee is roasted fresh per order, and sent out via priority mail the morning after roast. We cannot guarantee shipping dates, but on average, our customers receive their coffee within 2-5 postal days of ordering. You will be e-mailed a tracking number when your shipment has been made.
